Weekly Graphic Design Tips

Images can either enhance or detract from your marketing material. Careful consideration should be given to the image or images you select. The image should pertain tastefully to the subject matter and not overpower the text. The image can be framed or not, color or black and white, bleeding off the edge or "hovering" on the page with a drop shadow. The image can have text wrapped around it as long as there are no widows or orphans. When you've selected your image to use, have another pair of eyes critically assess its value to your document. Lastly, use original photos whenever possible. If you don't have any, hire a photographer to help the images tell the tale of your business.
